Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure

  • A full audit trail is available from entering an employee through to granting (and using) authorizations.
  • By connecting to the standard joiner, mover and leaver process, the actuality of the data is guaranteed.

What was the project at the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure

Based on some audit results, the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure felt the need to be able to demonstrate precisely and with a better audit trail which rights an employee has been granted and under which conditions.

In the project, the organization is connected to the central Identity & Access management facility of Economic Affairs, and the correct rights are automatically assigned to employees using job and organizational profiles.

What were the challenges in implementing Trusted-ID solutions?
Turnaround time was a key factor. A newly added employee must be familiarized with the various operational applications within 30 minutes.

Furthermore, it was important that an audit trail clearly shows who, when, and under what conditions was granted certain rights.

What are the results?
By connecting to Economic Affair’s existing IAM solution and the Asset management module included in it, it was possible to reduce the requested lead time to 20 minutes.

Employee data is provided from various sources and made available through the central facility. The self-service portal enables the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure to manage its own employees and the configuration of its job profiles and organizational roles.
