What was the project at Amsterdam UMC?

Implementing an IAM environment for the Electronic Patient Dossier system (EPIC) of a new healthcare combination composed of the Vrije Universiteit Medical Centre (VUmc) and the Amsterdam Medical Centre (AMC).

What were the challenges when implementing Trusted-ID solutions?

Multiple HR environments had to be opened up and aftwards the correct EPIC-rights had to be asserted based up function- and organizational profiels, in an automated manner.

What are the results?

The central IAM solution for the Amsterdam Academic Medical Centre (Amstedam UMC) has been implemented and connected to the two IdM solutions of the VUmc and AMC. Employee data is scanned and processed in an automated manner. Roles are determined and provisioned automatically. Via a special EPIC-connector data gets flowed through to the EPIC patient dossier.

The time it takes to complete a process has been lessened from seven hours to a maximum of two hours.
